  • I know what I should be doing, but I can't seem to change.

  • I rely on alcohol, social media, gambling, food, work or other behaviours to cope

  • I achieve a lot but I still don’t feel good enough

  • Why can’t I just be more organised, focused or disciplined?

  • My emotions feel bigger than I can handle

  • I feel like I always have to do more, achieve more and be better

  • I feel different, misunderstood or like I don’t fit in

Meet Karen

trauma therapist in dubai

Hi, I'm Karen.

I work with people who feel stuck. They know what they should be doing, but something keeps getting in the way.

Many of my clients struggle with ADHD, trauma, addiction, or perfectionism. They rely on coping behaviours to get through the day, feel overwhelmed by emotions, constantly question whether they're "good enough," or find themselves trapped in cycles they can't seem to break.

My role isn't to tell you to try harder, it's to help you understand why these patterns exist. Together, we'll explore what's driving them, process the experiences that shaped them, and build practical strategies that create lasting change.

Using evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, CBT and ACT, I provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can better understand yourself, develop healthier ways of coping, and build a life that feels more balanced, authentic, and fulfilling.

Trauma can affect how you feel, think and relate to yourself and others, sometimes long after an experience has ended. Trauma therapy in Dubai provides a safe, supportive space to process difficult experiences and develop healthier ways of coping and moving forward.

EMDR therapy can help you process distressing experiences and reduce the emotional impact of traumatic memories. As an EMDR therapist in Dubai, I use this evidence-based approach to support adults experiencing trauma, anxiety and other difficulties linked to past experiences.

ADHD can affect attention, organisation, emotional regulation, relationships and day-to-day functioning in both adults and young people. ADHD assessments in Dubai can provide a clearer understanding of your experiences, while ADHD therapy can help you develop practical strategies to manage symptoms and thrive in everyday life.

Addiction can affect every area of your life, from relationships and work to your emotional wellbeing and sense of control. Addiction therapy in Dubai provides compassionate, non-judgemental support to understand the underlying patterns of addiction, build healthier coping strategies and work towards lasting change.

Perfectionism can create constant pressure to achieve, get things right and meet impossibly high standards. Therapy for perfectionism can help you understand these patterns, reduce self-criticism and develop a healthier relationship with achievement, mistakes and your sense of self-worth.
